This Masur birch comes from a thinning of the Elmström couple’s cultivation on the farm Gröna Ånäs in the village of Östra Löa between Lindesberg and Kopparberg. Masur birch is a genetic defect in warty birch that causes the annual rings to grow into each other. It creates a very beautiful wood which is also very resistant to abrasion and impact. The wood is often used for knife handles and traditional wooden cups. The beautiful wood now adorn your phone.
